Felicia Moore stands in her living room wearing a custom printed shirt covered with photos of her son Sean, and a
key necklace that features a photo of the two of them inside a heart. Felicia fought through tears as she told me all
sorts of things about Sean, including how he loved her desserts and always had to have a whole pecan pie to himself.
It was abundantly clear that her children are truly what hold the key to her heart.

A cardboard cutout of Sean Moore looks over a photo of his son. The photo sits atop Sean's PlayStation, leaning against his favorite video game, Mortal Combat. Like many of the children of young men and women lost to gun violence, Sean’s son will grow up never truly knowing his father. Thankfully, Felicia remains connected to her
grandson and can teach him all about his father as he grows up, but his life will never be the same.

Felicia Moore holds a photo of her son, Sean, while standing in front of cardboard cutouts of him and his late sister, Talisha. Talisha passed away of a drug overdose just twelve hours before Sean was shot in the back leaving a local store. As is too often the case, Felicia never truly got justice for her son’s murder. The killer never admitted to the
motive behind his actions, and was sentenced to only a couple of years behind bars.
